Was a little hesitant at first with this chassis because it seemed to have fewer tuning options than my other chassis. I went for because I really like the look of the chassis. Well after assembly I can say that my worries were misplaced the available options are well thought out. I built this truck as a 2.2 sport truck so it only runs a 13.5 motor and performs very well. I also got the machined lower links and highly recommend these with the chassis. Overall this chassis hits the mark and performs well, would I get it again? Yes I would and I have no problems recommending it to anyone.

So I started this Monster truck adventure like many others searching and becoming frustrated with the plain chassis(s) available. I went to my first event and twisted my chassis on the first jump. Needless to say I was sad. A friend of mine told me about Billet Works and I quickly got in touch with them!! This chassis is exactly what I was looking for!!! Something that not a lot of people had and a bold new design easy to build and the customer service was on point!!! The Beast 2 is a solidly constructed twin plate chassis with all the looks and performance you could want in your monster truck. With all the other options you can combine with the chassis, such as sway bars and the trans plate.... you too can be a Beast among monsters

I researched this style truck for over a year. I was building a solid axle monster truck with a mix of Axial parts before the SMT10 was released. I saw one of the videos for the previous version and it seemed so consistent in the air, almost too controlled on the dirt and it has that low stance that keeps it planted cutting corners unlike any of the other chassis configurations at least from what I've seen so farBe in my research I had to try it. These guys are very responsive to questions and they seem more than willing to help in any way they can. So this machine and BWD get an A+ from me on this purchase and experience.
As far as my setup and performance of the truck I build a set of AR60s and decided to go with metal housings. Both axles are/were completely new. I had the material to make the suspension links for my truck and went with brass but I would strongly recommend just going with the Vanquish titanium links suggested as its not easy to thread these things by hand but if you're capable it could make this rig an even better deal. I'm running a build Wraith trans for now, Castle Mamba X with a 1410 Castle Sensored 3800KV Green can and a high torque Savox servo for now and this thing absolutely rips! I am running 4 inch Losi threaded shocks. They are great and seem very durable. No leaking and I ordered a couple sets of their softer springs which will be soften things up a bit. This is my favorite truck hands down and I can't wait to get my hands on a Phantom next and possibly a second MT if I can run in multiple classes. If you're on the fence go for it. You won't be disappointed. If I could give you some cons I would because nothing is perfect but this is pretty close. I will say I have to find some body mount posts that will work well with this truck and I made the mistake of leaving my front axle locked which knocked a few weeks out of my practice time. I had to order spider gears from Axial and some other parts to open up the front diff to allow for high speed handling. Other than that everything was exactly as described and I had all the parts ready before I placed my order. A Phantom B is certainly next on my list but I have a lot more in store for this Rig first. I hope this helps. It probably does sound like a biased review but I looked long and hard at whats out there and I've had great luck with this kit and I want to be sure to get that info out there. I don't have my own youtube channel or a large audience to reach but this is all real experience so I hope this info helps anyone out there who is on the fence to go ahead and give it a shot. I'm glad I did.
